Growing up I was actively involved in sports. I dabbled a little with basketball, softball and soccer, but found I really loved dance and cheerleading–enough that I continued with both of them for 15 years. Being that active, I was injured a lot. It didn’t take long for me to get to know my physical therapist through it all.
I was very much involved with caring for my family growing up. I have been blessed to have lived with my grandpa who had MS, my grandmother who has walking disabilities, and my mother recover from reconstructive back surgery. I helped them with all of their needs, whether it was involving mobilization, appointments, errands and chores. Being involved with their care really helped me want to help more people who have had similar issues.
Having firsthand experience with injuries and disabilities made me realize how I want to help others achieve their personal goals.
Every day I am amazed to see how fast patients recover and improve themselves. I get to work in a place where everyone smiles and is happy to see one another, with a team that really cares about the work they are doing, helping our patients. Being part of the Lilly Physical Therapy team is a true honor and there is no place that I would rather be.
Working at Lilly PT has been the best experience. Being in such a positive and upbeat environment has helped me to enjoy every single day at the job. I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge in several different areas and still have room to grow.
