Outdoor Activities in Seattle During the Spring Time

Is there anything better than when the weather starts warming up in the Pacific Northwest? Spring is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoor activities in Seattle. Once you’ve learned how to spice up your health and fitness routine for spring, get outside and start living a healthier lifestyle. The fresh air and warm sun are an ideal combination to get outside while being fit at the same time. Take advantage of the great things to do in Seattle during the spring and include them into your weekly fitness routines.

Discovery Park is 534 acre park in the Magnolia neighborhood in Seattle. This park has amazing views of the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, which makes it one of the very popular outdoor activities in Seattle. It also includes a beach, light-house, streams and open meadows. The loop trail is a great place to walk, hike, and run with a 3.9 mile length. If you want a local place to get away and de-stress, Discovery Park is a wonderful option. This park is even dog-friendly as long as they are on a leash! Seattle Cycling Tour is the perfect activity if you’re looking for a way to explore the city of Seattle while biking! The tour includes rides around the most popular downtown neighborhoods such as: Pioneer Square, The Metropolitan Tract, International/Chinatown, Waterfront, Seattle Center, and South Lake Union! The whole tour is about 6 miles long and lasts 2 1/2 hours. Cycling around the city is a great opportunity to learn about the history of Seattle while improving your health. Agua Verde Paddling Club offers kayak and paddle board rentals from March through October. This is a perfect Seattle sight to explore with friends and family during the spring and summer months. Greenlake Park is one of the most popular parks in Seattle. The path around the lake is 2.8 miles long and is perfect for walking, running, skating, or biking. This park is also great for picnics, swimming, playing sports in the athletic fields and courts, boating and even sailing.
